Macaroni and Cheese Festival

macaroni and cheese festivalMacaroni and Cheese is a very popular homemade comfort food.  What better way to celebrate this food than at the Macaroni and Cheese Festival?  Is there any other way to serve such creamy richness other than from home?  Perhaps at a festival!  That was the perfect idea by, Sam Brandon, founder of the Macaroni and Cheese Festival.  His love for mac and cheese has been a part of his life since the day his mom introduced it to him.  Through the years it was the only dish he enjoyed eating and it was a staple during his college years.  After college, he shared a brilliant idea with his friends to create a macaroni and cheese festival to benefit a non-profit organization.  When the idea became a reality three years ago, it has been nothing but a successful event.

The Macaroni and Cheese Festival will hold it’s 3rd annual event in Bakersfield, California.

Who’s ever had a White Truffle Mac and Cheese or an Apple Chicken Smoke Mac and Cheese?  The chefs at the event will be creating their own version of the mac and cheese dish, competing to win as the top chef.  You’ll have the opportunity to sample some of those gourmet dishes.  The proceeds will go towards a non-profit organization.  This year, the event will benefit the Roadrunner Scholarship Fund, providing scholarships for students and athletes at CSUB.  Since there will be over 20 winery and brewery vendors, admission to the event will only be for adults.  As you enjoy the food and drinks, you’ll also get to enjoy live music entertainment by Making Movies, provided by Bright House Network.

There’s definitely some great annual events that you can enjoy in Bakersfield.  The Macaroni and Cheese Festival happens to be one of the best and popular events!
